Biodiesel production

Kumar’s two-stage transesterification process maximises conversion, ensures high fuel quality and recovers valuable by-products.

Pre-treated feedstock undergoes transesterification with methanol in the presence of a catalyst, producing methyl esters (biodiesel) and glycerine. Excess methanol is recovered and recycled, while the biodiesel is washed to remove residual contaminants. Glycerine by-product is treated, purified and sent for refining, ensuring both fuel and by-product streams achieve consistent, high-quality outputs.

Solutions for biofuels

Kumar supplies turnkey biodiesel plants including skid mounted variants featuring feedstock pretreatment units, transesterification reactors, methanol recovery systems, distillation columns, glycerine refining units and integrated utilities. Every plant is engineered for seamless operation, long-term reliability and maximum return on investment.
