The CPM Hammermill and Fine Grinder series (HMA, HMB, XHM) are designed to meet diverse grinding needs in the feed, food, oilseed, and wood pelleting industries. • Coarse grinding using HMA or XHM series with screen sizes >2.0 mm
• Fine grinding using the HMB series with screen sizes as small as 0.5 mm

Each unit is designed with robust, wear-resistant features and an emphasis on uptime and operator convenience. With fast screen changes, two-way rotational direction, and a high-speed motor, CPM's hammermill line enables superior control over grind size and throughput while reducing vibration and noise.

Material is introduced via a screw feeder or gravity proportion feeder into the grinding chamber. High-speed hammers rotating at up to 3600 RPM impact the material against a counter hammer and breaker plate, fracturing it into smaller particles. The crushed material passes through interchangeable screens with variable surface areas (from 0.45 to 2.2 m²), allowing adjustment of final particle size. The two-way rotation and pneumatic screen change system enable fast maintenance, while an aspiration system ensures continuous airflow and product discharge.
